Weekend car booting and treasure sightings.....

The weekend is over and yesterday's car boot sale is done and dusted. The Big V left in the morning in a flurry (he overslept) to meet a friend that was joining us for the day. I got a wee sleep in with the little Vowers (not by much) and then once they were up, fed and clothed we headed off to join daddy. I won't say our day was blindingly successful, but I am very pleased to have more then a bunch of pretty pennies to put towards my plans" I'm working on at the moment.

But a car boot sale isn't a car boot sale unless you get to have a scope around for treasures, amongst the everyday stuff right.

Here are some of the treasures that were looking for new homes yesterday.
I'm sure a night cap would taste even better drunk out of these, wouldn't they?

Retro print magazine basket anyone?

How about this beauty to listen to old time tunes on?

And finally what retro lovers home, expecting a baby wouldn't fancy this beauty?

Could you of given any of these treasures a new home?

  1. I think the radio would have been my greatest temptation. Did you bring home any new treasures? Xx

    1. Yeah it was pretty special and had a packet of transitor circuits with it.

  2. I'm highly jealous of your finds! I think I would have found it hard to walk past the magazine rack and high chair.

    1. No need to be jealous Cassandra none of these came home with me. Perhaps I should source myself out as a scout for vintage treasures for other people.

  3. I've got a penchant for retro magazine racks, why I've no idea as I don't buy them, but no doubt I'd have snapped up that one, too! x

    1. I would of got the magazine basket as I do love a retro floral but it just wasn't the right floral and colours for home.

  4. Only the glasses, and then only if they were a full set...but then I'm probably picky!

  5. How many constitute a full set? I don't think it was a full set. Nonetheless they're pretty.

    1. Trudy the size of a full set is often a moot point...it can be 4, 6, 8 or more. But to my knowledge 6 would be it for these particular glasses.
P.S. you can scout for me anytime, let me know if you're serious.xx.
